Readers Are Leaders

Here is some Wisdom that has shaped my Beliefs:
1. Super Successful People read 16-21 Non-Fiction books per year.
2. Readers Are Leaders.
3. Books are a mans best friend.
4. I can learn in 45 minutes what it took a person 45 years to learn.
5. Mentorship is Wisdom and Learning without the Pain.
6. God sent His Son but left His Book.
7. Proverbs 2:6 " For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." The Bible is a collection of 66 Books .
8. Proverbs 4:20 " My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh. "
Gods Word is Powerful when we Believe it And receive it in our Hearts.
9. When an enemy wants to destroy a Nation, They destroy the Libraries, burn books and propagate lies.
10. Those who can't read and those who don't read are the same.

These are some thoughts that shaped my thinking. I may have read them sometime.....

Just Imagine

Imagine that you had won the following prize in a contest:
Each morning your bank would deposit $86,400.00 in
your private account for your use.

However, this prize has rules, just as any game has certain rules.

The first set of rules would be:
Everything that you didn't spend during each day
would be taken away from you.

You may not simply transfer money into some other account.
You may only spend it.

Each morning upon awakening, the bank opens your account with another $86,400.00 for that day.

The second set of rules:
The bank can end the game without warning; at any
time it can say, Its over, the game is over!

It can close the account and you will not receive a new one.

What would you personally do?
You would buy anything and everything you wanted, right?
Not only for yourself, but for all people you love, right?

Even for people you don't know, because you couldn't possibly spend it all on yourself, right?
You would try to spend every cent, and use it all, right?

ACTUALLY, this GAME is REALITY!

Each of us is in possession of such a magical bank. We just
can't seem to see it.

The MAGICAL BANK is TIME!

Each morning we awaken to receive 86,400 seconds as a gift
of life, and when we go to sleep at night, any remaining time
is NOT credited to us.

What we haven't lived up that day is forever lost.

Yesterday is forever gone.

Each morning the account is refilled, but the bank can
dissolve your account at any time....WITHOUT WARNING.

SO, what will YOU do with your 86,400 seconds?

Aren't they worth so much more than the same amount
in dollars?

Think about that, and always think of this:
Enjoy every second of your life, because time races by
so much quicker than you think.

So take care of yourself, be Happy, Love Deeply and enjoy life!

Here's wishing you a wonderfully beautiful day!!!

Prayer

I would go to sleep at night sending angels around him to watch over him and keep him (Ps. 91:11) and praying Proverbs 11:21 "the seed of the righteous shall be delivered." --- Prayers from a Caring Mother.

Family Fun

When my son Joseph was 3, he was in the kitchen with his baby brother Justin. Justin was in the portable car seat on the table. I was in the other room for a moment. All of a sudden I heard Justin crying.
I went in to see what was up. Joseph was on the floor playing with his cars like nothing was wrong. Justin was in tears with a red mark on his forehead. At 3 years old Joe was already mischievous......

The Vocabulary of Silence

What do I do with fearsome thoughts, thoughts of failure, calamity, loss ? The "I am not going to make it" thought. I will tell you how to handle them. DONT SPEAK THEM. Ignore the thoughts during times of mental bombardment. Thoughts unspoken can die before they come alive. Stay Steady. Remember the principle "Nothing is ever as bad as it first appears". But Most of all remember the Promise found in The Book of Jonah that states "They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy".

The Integrity of God's Word

This is one of my favorite chapters of E.W.Kenyon's Book "The Two Kinds of Faith" written in the 1940's. Enjoy
Chapter I
THE BASIS FOR FAITH
THIS faith business has me whipped", said a young man the other day.
"The pastor preached on it Sunday. He didn't tell me how to get faith, but he told me the necessity of it, told what it could do.
"He quoted those wonderful sentences from the lips of the Master, 'All things are possible to him that believeth.' 'If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed . . . . '
"I have tried to get it. I have done everything that I knew or anyone else could tell me, but it seems to be so elusive. Can you tell me where the difficulty lies?"
I liked him. He was so frank, so genuine. The distress in his eyes challenged me.
I said to him, "Faith comes through the Word of God.
"You have faith in the man for whom you work ; if he promises you a raise in your salary, you wouldn't question it.
"You have faith in the bank where you do business. If they told you that your account was overdrawn, you wouldn't question it.
"You know that you and your word are one. You are back of your word, back of every word that you promise.
"God and His Word are one. God is back of every Word that He promises. Not only is He back of it, but His throne is back of His Word.
"He said, 'I watch over my Word to perform it.'

"He is a business man. He knows that His Word is the foundation of everything, so He stands back of it.
"Jesus said, 'Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall never pass away.'
"This is the thing that gives faith . . . the integrity of this Word."
"Faith comes by hearing the Word, understanding it, by it becoming a part of us.
"I am going to say a hard thing. I am sure you will understand me. Lying and deceit and dishonesty are the badges of the world.
"We see it in international relationship between nations.
"They have their secret service men listening in everywhere, robbing each other of blueprints of warships, etc., until there is no chance of security anywhere.
"This is the reason for our unbelief. The air is pregnant with it. When we come up against the Word of God which cannot lie and cannot be challenged, somehow or other we are unprepared to accept it.
"Satan is a liar and he is the god of this world.
"Jesus came as a Revelation of Truth. He is the only one who ever made men become honest, when to tell the truth meant that they would be burned at the stake.
"Here we see the foundation of this Faith. You come to know Jesus through the word. He introduces you to the Father.
"Then you begin to act on the Word, to test it out, as it were.
"After a bit you will find that acting on what Jesus said, or the Father said, becomes as natural as acting on the word of the man for whom you are working."
He said after careful thought, "Thank you. I believe I have learned something I have never seen before."
One Foundation
There is but one foundation for Faith, the Living Word.
As we become one with the Word in our actions, then faith becomes an unconscious reality.
You never think of your Faith, you only think of the need and His ability to meet it.
If you wish faith to grow and become robust and strong, soak in the Word, feed on it, meditate on it, until you become one with it in the sense that you are one with your business.
Find out what you are in Christ, what your privileges are, what He thinks of you, what He says of you.
You will find all this in the Word.

How Can I Get Moving?

In Ecclesiastes 11: verse 4 Solomon writes
"If you worry about the weather and don't plant seeds, you won't harvest a crop." There is wise advice here on how to get motivated. Usually fear and worry stop us in our lives. But Good Action can cure us.We must act in the face of bad weather. We must do whats right, because its right, and Do IT Right. That is Excellence. Remember the principle "Decision creates energy". I have used these ideas consistently in my life to accomplish the goals and dreams that I have had. And when I am worrying about the weather, looking at the clouds, mesmerized by the problem, I ended up UN motivated -kinda BLAH. But when I ACTED in the face of bad weather, and sowed my seeds, I reaped in due time - a harvest of desired harvests. "You will reap what you sow". Knowledge acted upon is POWER. Get Moving !

A Redemption Poem

When God placed man in Eden,
Amid the glories there, He gave him full dominion,
Put all beneath his care; No curse rests on the garden,
No sin nor pain was known, Death had not cursed creation,
Nor taught its lips to moan.
Then came the mighty tempter.
Up from his dread domain. To curse God's fair creation,
Give birth to sin and pain; The man yields to temptation,
And filled with treason's blight, He sells his vast possessions,
Then all is plunged in night.
Man's driven from the garden,
With no approach to God, Save through bleeding sacrifice,
Whose blood flows o'er the sod; For man is dead in spirit,
And Satan rules o'er him; Then thru this curst relation
Man's sorrows reach the brim.
When driven out of Eden,
By justice's awful rod, A promise then was given,
Of Christ — Incarnate God, Who'd break the rule of Satan,
The claims of justice pay, Restore the lost Creation,
Bring in Millennial Day.

A Restaurant's #1 Dish

A restaurant's best dish should be ---CARING. My dad taught me this. His name is Joe Italiano. THE Joe Italiano. He is the reason The Maplewoods (1,2 & 3)are successful today. And the one thing he did , ALWAYS , was care about the customer. Oh he could cook too. If there was a problem with a meal, we would fix it. We even will drive to a Take-Out customers house if we forgot to put a salad or something in their bag. Many times as I cooked side by side with him, he would say "you can't serve that" and would show me proper CARE for the food and customer. One of our favorite sayings is "You can teach 'em to cook but you can't teach 'em to care". We only hire cooks who "care". That may be the reason for the Maplewood's popularity.

Is Life a Marathon ?

The long-term approach to life is helpful in the midst of life's daily ups and downs. But Focused, Deliberate, Massive Action--The Sprint --is also needed to accomplish much of anything. Wisdom is the ability to use knowledge. Use both a long-term view with consistent BURSTS of Action. Remember that Decision Creates Energy.

Hello world!

I want to share my thought of the day.  **Nothing is ever the way it first appears**. You can't always trust your senses. Did you ever FEEL scared? FEEL sad? We walk by faith and not by the senses. Faith in facts. The Best source of facts is the Word Of God - commonly called the Bible. My life is built on the rock! Yours can be too.
