Faith

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Hupostasis, the word translated "substance," means "that which underlies the apparent; that which is the basis of something, hence, assurance, guarantee and confidence".(Spiros Zodhiates, The Complete Word Study Dictionary: New Testament, p. 1426).

We all "Hope" for a better life, or a guarantee of a bright future in this life. We also secretly covet assurance of life beyond the grave, Having our sins forgiven, Life Everlasting . The great thing is the very things we "Hope" for are promised to those who are Saved by the Grace of God Through Jesus Christ. And you can be included in this ! You can recieve by faith what God has provided. You can't earn it, you don't work for it, and you don't deserve such favor. You recieve it by Faith. And that FAITH is the assurance of what you hope for ! And we only hope for what Gods has said in His Word,The Bible.

The Good News for Darwin

The message of the Early Church has been effective in every generation. Men are eager to hear the transforming good news concerning Christ proclaimed with the authority of God's Word.

Charles Darwin once admitted he was in error concerning the condition of man. After a scientific expedition to Tierra del Fuego he wrote that the inhabitants of the island were hopelessly savage. Then something happened to those people. Missionaries took the gospel to them. Later Darwin revisited the island and noted the change. He wrote in his diary, "It was without exception the most interesting spectacle I have ever beheld. I could not have believed how wide was the difference between savage and civilized man ....The success of the missionaries is most wonderful and charms me....The march of improvement consequent on the introduction of Christianity throughout the South Seas probably stands by itself in the record of history."

Mind Mangement

A very important principle in life is this : "You become what you think about most of the time". This is a distillation of the best in Success Philosophy. This truth is always at work. You can learn a lot of information, or get multiple degrees,but you will be ruled by your dominant thoughts. This is borne out in the Bible too. Jesus taught the power of words and thoughts. The Apostle Paul wrote about thinking on good things and casting down wrong thoughts. Lets keep our mind on things above !

Today is the day to Trust God's Promises. If you are facing a Storm, Look for a Rainbow -- That means that God will keep His Word to you.

Readers Are Leaders

Here is some Wisdom that has shaped my Beliefs:
1. Super Successful People read 16-21 Non-Fiction books per year.
2. Readers Are Leaders.
3. Books are a mans best friend.
4. I can learn in 45 minutes what it took a person 45 years to learn.
5. Mentorship is Wisdom and Learning without the Pain.
6. God sent His Son but left His Book.
7. Proverbs 2:6 " For the LORD gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding." The Bible is a collection of 66 Books .
8. Proverbs 4:20 " My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh. "
Gods Word is Powerful when we Believe it And receive it in our Hearts.
9. When an enemy wants to destroy a Nation, They destroy the Libraries, burn books and propagate lies.
10. Those who can't read and those who don't read are the same.

These are some thoughts that shaped my thinking. I may have read them sometime.....
